Oscar and his siblings were found in someone's backyard when they were about 3 weeks old and brought into the shelter to get a chance at a better life. From there, the kittens went into a foster home, got a bath and some TLC and have been thriving ever since. Oscar is a sweet and sometimes shy boy that takes a few minutes to come out of his shell with new people. Once he does, he will roll around on his back and ask for belly rubs! Why did Oscar get his name, you ask? Because he was such a dirtball when he first came to his foster home. When the kittens were still learning how to eat, Oscar would sit inside the wet food bowl and roll around in his food. He was constantly sticky and covered in grossness from head to tail, so his foster mom thought Oscar the Grouch was an appropriate name for him. Luckily, that didn't last long, and now Oscar understands that food is for eating, not for bathing. He is a chunky little fellow and LOVES his meals. He has been growing at a record rate since he eats so much! Oscar and his siblings are still very young and can easily adapt to a home with children, other cats, or dogs. Each one of them would do best being adopted with one of their siblings in a pair, or with another friendly cat in the home as kittens need companionship while growing up. If interested in Oscar or one of his siblings, please apply at acctphilly.org AND email lindsey@acctphilly.org with what kitten you are interested in.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Oscar, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
