My story

Hello. My name is MOJO (Mehraban) and here is a little info about me:Breed: Golden Retriever/Alaskan Malemute/Shepard mixAge: 5 yearsGender: MaleWeight: 30 kgHeight: 80 cmHighlight(s): LOVES KIDS!, tripaw, tolerant, loving I am quite the gentleman, as I love to be around kids.Rescued in the Middle East from a cruel attack. I don't know why, but one day a group of men attacked me and stabbed me in my right foreleg. It was in fact very painful, but I am so glad to have escaped that mean village. I finally found a place to hide and stay away from people for quite some time until some kind individuals found me. By the time I was rescued though, it was too late to recover my injured leg and as a result it had to be amputated. So now I live as a tripaw.Surprisingly, I still trust humans and let them pet me. I seem to be good with other dogs (no idea about cats.) I am not protective about my food at all and in fact enjoy eating while being around kids as they are petting me.I like to be decorated with flowers by kids! I know I look cute and photogenic!I would love to have a relaxing home with a loving family who have kids. Surely it doesn't hurt having a bit of good Mojo around the house, right? Grin. Might need some physiotherapy to improve mobility issues, but at this point it is not a main concern.I have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $700.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.
