My story

A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Tucker is a magnificent 2-year-old mixed breed with a heart as big as his smile. At about 46 lbs., he’s the perfect size for adventures, cuddles, and everything in between. Thanks to the generosity of a Furkids volunteer, Tucker was given the incredible gift of a board-and-train program with one of the top trainers in Georgia. There, he mastered his manners and learned an impressive list of commands, including place, sit, stay, wait, and more. He’s crate trained, house trained, gentle leader trained, and has fantastic recall! Even better, his trainer will work directly with Tucker’s future family to ensure a smooth transition and set everyone up for success. Tucker is a sweet, playful, and super smart young pup who’s always ready for a game of fetch, a long walk, or a hike. He’s also a total lovebug who bonds deeply and will make a loyal, affectionate companion. His trainer describes him as “so cool and very, very smart”, and we couldn’t agree more! Tucker would thrive with an active family who’s excited to include him in all of life’s adventures, from exploring the outdoors to snuggling on the couch. He also enjoys the company of other dogs, making him a wonderful addition to a multi-pet home. Tucker weighs 46lbs., is approximately 2 years old (est. birth date 05/19/2023), he is house, and crate trained, and his adoption fee is $85. Tucker has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.
