My story

Meet Bashful!Hi, I’m Bashful—but don’t let the name fool you! I’m anything but shy. I’m a happy, loving, and playful 7-month-old retriever mix who just happens to be deaf. But trust me, that doesn’t slow me down one bit! I’m super smart and already learning sign language commands like a pro. I love treats, Since I can’t hear so I`m a great sleeper and hard to wake up! I love bath time and playing with my foster siblings. I get along great with my foster`s adult German Shepherd husky mix and puppies. I love people, and I love other dogs—basically, I love everything! I’m crate trained, almost fully potty trained, and always eager to learn new things.I may be a growing pup, but I still believe every lap is the perfect size for a cuddle. I’m looking for a family who will continue to guide me with patience and love, and in return, I’ll be your most devoted, tail-wagging best friend. If you’re ready for a sweet, smart, and slightly oversized lap dog, I just might be your perfect match! I would be the perfect edition to any home and do well with other dogs or as the only dog in the house. my lack of hearing doesn’t make me challenging because I am very obedient and a great listener!To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt.
