My story

Meet ARTICHOKE After being abandoned during a traumatic home eviction, Artichoke found himself fearful of people in uniform and struggling in a shelter environment. His euthanasia date was set for June 27, 2024. We saw the loving dog beneath the fear. On that very day, Artichoke’s life changed forever when he was rescued and since then, he has made incredible progress—enjoying vet visits, public outings, training, and even making new human and dog friends. The Chasing Sunshine Dog Rescue adoption donation is $595.00. This includes: spay/neuter (at our vet), vaccines (dhpp, bordetella, rabies), microchip, health certificate, fecal test and our dogs are on preventatives for fleas/ticks/heartworm. Out of state adopters must also pay for an interstate health certificate to their state. (This is typically around $65.00. Adopter will pay actual cost.)
