My story

🌙 Pongo’s Weekend Sleepover ASC# 87394 Pongo had an amazing weekend full of firsts, adventures, and a whole lot of love. Though a little unsure at first, he handled the car rides like a champ—starting out nervous, but eventually settling in for the journey. And what a weekend it was! He visited The Toad, wandered the Farmer's Market, hiked Tortugas Mountain like a pro, and even stopped by Andale’s Dog House. In between his outings, Pongo enjoyed some well-deserved chill time at home, especially with the summer heat. He proved himself a great hiker, showed lots of tail wags around other dogs, and had no accidents all weekend! Pongo walks beautifully on a leash and shines on hikes, though he’s still a little nervous in parking lots and when cars pass by. It’s all new to him—this was one of his first experiences in a home—but he’s already making such great progress. He’s gentle, shy, and a little reserved, but once he begins to trust, his sweet personality shines through. One of the funniest moments was when he thought he’d found the perfect hiding spot... only for his back end to be sticking out! His foster mom couldn’t stop laughing. And his favorite moment? Being told he was smart and a good boy—plus, he got to try bacon for the first time! Pongo loves people, snuggles, and food. While he’s still adjusting to indoor life, he’s discovering how good it feels to be safe, cared for, and part of a home. And here’s the best part—he did so great that he now gets to stay with his sleepover foster as a full-time foster until he finds his forever home! We give him a 10/10—this sweet boy is on his way to becoming the perfect companion.
