My story

Meet Big Brother AKA Gunner, a lively 10-month-old Labrador Retriever and Border Collie mix whose mom was originally transferred to Big Dog Ranch from a shelter in Alabama. He was born right here at Big Dog Ranch alongside his six siblings, all of whom have found their forever homes. After being adopted and returned through no fault of his own, Gunner is now ready to find the loving, permanent family he deserves. With a high energy level, Gunner thrives in an environment where he can stay active and engaged. He would do well with a first-time dog owner who can provide him with plenty of exercise and consistent training. Gunner walks well on a leash and knows basic commands, making him a great companion for daily walks and outings. He is great with cats, dogs, and kids, showing a friendly and social nature with everyone he meets. Gunner is housetrained and eager to please, which makes him a wonderful fit for many types of homes. When he’s not playing with his favorite toys or splashing around in the water, Gunner loves to cuddle up and share quiet moments with his people.
