My story

Eugene isn’t just a name—it’s a vibe, and this derpy white domestic shorthair embodies it to perfection. With an endless supply of goofy charm and “orange cat energy,” Eugene is always up to something delightfully ridiculous. Whether he’s chasing his own tail, making improbable leaps, or zooming around the house for no reason at all, Eugene turns every moment into an adventure. What makes Eugene even more lovable is his trusting, open-hearted nature. He approaches everyone as a friend, greeting strangers and familiar faces alike with the same boundless enthusiasm. His playful antics and unshakeable confidence make him the life of the party, ensuring that life with Eugene is always unpredictable—and always a fun time. If you’ve ever wondered what it means to truly be a “Eugene,” this cat is the answer. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
