Hey there! I’m Ice, and I’m part of the coolest litter around—seriously, have you met my siblings? There’s Flurry, always zooming around like a snowstorm, Avalanche, the happy-go-lucky fluffball, and Powder, who’s got those puppy eyes. But I’m the one who’s got a little bit of everything: play, curiosity, and yes...a bit of that Pyr stubbornness. You know how it is, life’s all fun and games until someone steals your crinkle toy...and then it’s on. I’ve been working on my stealth skills, too. You’ll see, I might look all cute and innocent, but I can sneak off faster than you can say "puppy!" I’m like a little ninja when it comes to trying to slip under the radar. So yeah, you might want to keep a close eye on me—I’m very independent and don’t mind showing it. I’m like the Houdini of the puppy world, but instead of escaping from a cage, I’m just escaping from your watchful gaze! ;) But don’t let my mischievous side fool you—I’m also a snuggle monster. Once we’re done playing, I’ll be ready to settle in for some quality cuddle time. I love a good crinkle toy (seriously, you can’t go wrong with those!) and I’ll talk your ear off when I’m in my crate or playing with my favorite squeaky friends. Oh, the story of how I came to the rescue is a real classic! You see, my mama, Crystal, is basically the ultimate snow queen. One day, she just decided to go on an adventure and wandered up to someone’s house. You know, no big deal, just looking for a place to deliver a whole bunch of fluffy puppies. She had me and my siblings in tow—Flurry, Avalanche, Powder, and the rest of us. We were like a little blizzard rolling into town! The wonderful people who found us knew they were in over their heads, so they reached out for help. And just like that, we joined Pyr Paws N Fluffy Tails Rescue—our fluffy butt squad! We got to go to a super cozy foster home, where we’ve been living the dream ever since. So, let’s talk about my temperament! I’m generally a happy-go-lucky guy. I love to play with my foster siblings, especially when we’re all running around and chasing toys. I’m pretty easygoing—until I’m not! You see, I can get a little fiery when I feel like things aren't going my way (Hey, I’m a Pyr in training!). One time, my foster mom tried to redirect me, and let’s just say I wasn’t exactly thrilled with the idea. A little temper tantrum ensued. But hey, I’m still a pup, so we’re working on that whole “control your emotions” thing. I’ll need a patient human to help me channel my energy (and fiery side) into being a well-behaved boy. But overall? I’m still a chill, happy, cuddly guy at heart! 😄 I’m definitely down for public outings with my future family—cafes, pet stores, social visits... You name it, I’m there with my wagging tail and puppy excitement. I'm all about meeting new people! I get super excited, so much so that I might just shower you with puppy kisses (you're welcome!). But if you're more of a "stay-in-and-snuggle" kind of person, that's cool too! I can totally rock being a homebody. I’ll just take a nap, chew on my favorite crinkle toy, and be ready for cuddles when you’re ready. I am a puppy, though, so no leash walks just yet, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it... eventually. One thing at a time, right? Other dogs? Oh, absolutely! I love to play with them, run around, and then take a nap... because, well, I am still a puppy and naps are my favorite thing ever. Whether you're bringing home a new furry sibling or I’m your one and only, I’ll fit right in. Cats? Hmm, no idea yet. Haven't had the pleasure of meeting one, but I’ve got a lot of growing up to do, so we’ll figure that out when the time comes. As for kids? Yep, I’m great with kids! I love people, big and small, and I’m all about that playful, cuddly vibe. Alright, let’s be real—apartment life is not for me. I’m not exactly a fan of cramped spaces. I like to run, explore, and do puppy things without worrying about bumping into the neighbors. So, I’ll need a place with room to stretch my legs! As for potty training… well, I’m just a puppy, okay? So that’s still a work in progress, but hey, I’m learning! I’ve got puppy kennel training down though, so I’ve got that part of the routine nailed! When it comes to the couch, I can be a little helpful in getting up there, but I'll need a boost (I'm still a bit vertically challenged). But don't worry—I’ll make it worth your while with cuddles and soft, fluffy puppy snuggles. As for barking, let’s just say I’m a talker. Whether I’m playing with toys, exploring my world, or hanging out in my crate, I’ve got a lot to say. Don’t worry—it’s all adorable puppy chatter! Now, here’s the thing about having a Great Pyrenees in your life—get ready for a little extra adventure! Pyrs like me can be a bit independent. We might ignore your commands sometimes, but trust me, it’s not because we’re rude—it’s just that we know what we’re doing is more important! Expect constant barking at nothing(well according to you). We’ll alert you to the tiniest of noises, like a leaf falling or a distant squirrel whispering. It’s all part of our charm (and your inevitable new sleep schedule). And speaking of sleep, we shed like it’s our full-time job. Fluffy fur will be everywhere—on your clothes, the furniture, and most likely in your food. But hey, what’s a little extra fuzz between friends, right? You’ll just need to bring out the vacuum every day. We are not the most obedient dogs, but we’ve got the brains to match our beauty. So while we may occasionally pretend to be “selectively deaf,” that just means we need a bit of patience (and some yummy treats) to keep us on track. Training is a must if you want to get the best out of us! So, if you're ready for a goofy, lovable, occasionally aloof, and always cuddly companion, I might be the right dog for you! So what happens next? Well, I would hope that you would submit an adoption app for me. You can find the app on the rescue's website, message them for it, or find it in the comments below. I am being fostered in ✨Oolagah, OK✨ so if you live outside the area..no worries. Just be prepared to pack for a road trip because this rescue doesn't send us on transports. So, both they and I will be expecting you to come pick me up. And what better way to start the bonding process than with a road trip?! I won’t be ready to head home until after Christmas, so I guess that’s more time for you to fall in love with this little snowball of joy! See you soon, maybe in the meantime, I’ll leave a little pawprint on your heart. ❄️🐾 Chillin’ in style, Ice ❄️
If you have any questions or would like to adopt ice, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
