My story

Cali is a spirited 2-year-old pit mix with a heart as big as her boundless energy! If you’re looking for a playful companion who will keep you smiling, Cali is your girl.This enthusiastic pup loves nothing more than an afternoon of playing with toys and romping around the yard. But when playtime is over, Cali is ready to settle in for some serious cuddles. She’s a pro at snuggling up and once settled will happily lounge nearby.Cali thrives around kids and is happiest when surrounded by a family to play with and love. She also enjoys the company of other dogs, but due to her passion for food, needs to be the only pet in your home (or with someone who can handle resource guarding between dogs). Cali plays well with other dogs when there's no food around. She has enjoyed park walks with multiple dogs during her time with us. Despite the past few months being very challenging, Cali's resiliency and sweet nature shines through. Her family lost their home in Hurricane Helene, and she had been living in a car.
