My story

Tavish is the kind of dog who you love right away. This lovable guy has a kennel right by the pavilion door, where he quietly and patiently waits for someone to notice him. His calm, gentle presence stops us and we cant help but always say hello. Tavish seems like an older pup who came in needing some TLC and so might look a little older than he really is. But what he lacks in youth, he more than makes up for in pure sweetness. He’s low-key, undemanding, and ready to bring peace and companionship to a cozy, loving home. Came in as a stray on 11/25/24. Found near 1400 N. Humboldt *Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL *The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID. *All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs. *Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
