My story

I’m Tootsie, a precious terrier pup who has overcome a difficult start in my life.I was found abandoned, wandering in the street with my sister near my mother, who was chained to a tree. A caring volunteer got us to safety at the Humane Society of York County.We all went right to foster homes where I got some time to gain my confidence and get tons of love and care. My mom and sister have both been adopted, and now I’m looking for my forever home.I’m still a young girl, about 30 pounds, and my estimated date of birth is July 2024.My foster family says I’m smart, funny, playful and loving. I love snuggles with my people! I went to school at Zoom Room in Fort Mill. I learned all of the basics, like sit, down, stand and heel, and proved to be an excellent car rider. My new family will get two free lessons to continue my training at Zoom Room!I also got to be an ambassador for HSYC at a local middle school. I had the BEST day meeting students, getting all the pets and doling out lots of kisses.I love my play time and also my lap time with my people.
