My story

Born: June 03, 2024 I'm 46lbs, and I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $400 Introducing Carter a fun-loving American Staffordshire/Boxer mix with a stunning blue brindle patchwork coat that makes him truly one of a kind. This big-hearted pup knows “sit” and adores attention—he’ll happily soak up all the love you can give! Carter is great with other dogs and enjoys playing to his heart’s content. He’s especially fond of toys, and playtime is his favorite way to bond and burn off energy. While he’s still a big puppy at heart and could use some obedience training to help polish his manners, his eagerness to please will make training a rewarding experience. Because of his size and energy, Carter would thrive in a home with older kids who can keep up with his playful nature. He’s ready to bring joy, love, and a whole lot of fun to a family who can guide him on his journey to becoming the best dog he can be! All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. An application is required to view our adoptable pets. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble. We also cannot guarantee the ages of our adoptable animals or how large puppies will be when fully grown. We look forward to seeing you soon!
