My story

Meet La Chona (28231)! She came to us as an owner surrender in May 2024 with her litter of 3 babies. La Chona was a very loving mother but is sill learning to trust people around her. She is very skittish and doesn't know how to accept some love yet but with patience her sweet little personaility starts to bloom. La Chona one of our FIV+ residents here at Valley Animal Center which means their little immune systems are not as strong as a normal cat's would be. This also means they would have to be INDOOR ONLY cats and are reccomended to have normal vet check-ups every 6 months. La Chona was also diagnosed with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH) which means you will notice she is a little unbalanced when moving around or "wobbly". Her foster was able to provide a home for her and her kittens, and learned that La Chona is a sweet girl that will require patience. La Chona will need to go to a home where it is understood that she may need more time to adjust and more quality time to learn how to trust and come out of her shell. If you are interested in meeting La Chona please submit an application at www.valleyanimal.org At Valley Animal Center our mission is to unite dogs and cats with loving people. Conoce La Chona (28231)!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt La Chona, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
