My story

Nico/Ollie, the cutest low rider scruff! Ollie and crew came from deplorable conditions. It's no wonder he's negatively affected. We took over fostering him to see if we could help him grow, push him out of his comfort zone more. And he's showing up for me. He walks on leash like a champ. He now mingles with my dogs, and sometimes he plays. He chews a bone now. He jumps on the couch by himself now instead of staying away. • He even lays in my lap sometimes. He's come through the dog door a few times! He realized he actually does like pets and human affection. He follows me around like a shadow. He is very jumpy and still doesn't trust us 100% but he's improving every day. • Obvious trauma from his water bowl (I think bugs) bc he walks up very slowly and stares in the bowl and if it's too low he won't drink it at all. • He doesn't quite know what to do with himself when he gets excited so he barks and nips and we are working on redirecting that energy. He only has energy a couple times a day • He won't take treats from my hand yet. Even cheese He doesn't like carrots or beans so he saves that for the resident dogs to clean up. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update.
