My story

Hi there, I'm America, or Maddie to my friends. I'm a stunning six-year-old gray and white medium-haired kitty with a passion for being pampered. I adore being brushed and doted on - there's nothing quite like a good session of pets and scratches behind the ears. My story's a bit of a rollercoaster. I was found outside a car repair shop when I was expecting a litter of kittens. Luckily, the staff took me in and provided a safe space for me to give birth to my eight little bundles of joy. After a wonderful foster mama helped me care for them, I had some health issues that needed attention. It turned out the stress of having so many kittens had caused some internal issues, but my vet was amazing and fixed everything. However, things got tough again when I found a home that didn't quite work out. The resident cat wasn't a fan of mine, and let's just say it was a bit of a nightmare. I lost weight, got stressed, and even had some liver issues. But I'm a fighter, and with the help of my rescue, I got back on my paws. Now, I'm looking for my purr-fect home - a quiet place where I'll be the only pet and can be someone's little princess. I love being around my humans, but I'm also happy to entertain myself while you're out. I'm perfect for a couple, single person, or retired folks who want a low-maintenance companion. If you've got older, calm teenagers, that'd be great too. My ideal home would have a cat tree next to a sunny window, and a scale would be a bonus - I'm watching my weight, you see! I am spayed, microchipped and vaccinated and feeling much better now, and I'm ready to bring joy and snuggles into someone's life. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion, I might just be the cat for you.
