Kane

My story

Kane was originally surrendered to MAHS in 2020 because he was running away from home too often. Aside from a brief adoption that resulted in neglect and Kane returning to our care skin and bone, he has spent the better part of five years at MAHS. Kane needs a home without other animals. He has gotten a little crotchety as he ages and needs a home without children. However, he LOVES our teenage volunteers and kennel techs and we think he would thrive with some respectful teens at home to look after.Kane is seven years old. We’ve gotten to know him inside and out over the years. He’s good on a leash and rides well in a car! He gets overstimulated and bitey with all of the commotion, but when he’s relaxed, he’s the best dog in the world.Kane has lived a hard life, and we crave a happy ending for him as much as he craves a home.
