Meet Choopy (Choo-pee) – A Sensitive Soul with So Much to Give ?? Age: 1.5 years | Breed: Pit Bull Terrier | Status: Urgently Needs a HomeChoopy is a striking young pittie who was brought in as a stray by Cottleville Police back in November. At just a year and a half old, he’s already house and crate trained, walks well on leash, and keeps his eyes on his person, always eager for connection. He’s incredibly smart and observant — and though the shelter has been a stressful place for him, he remains gentle, curious, and full of potential.While Choopy may be nervous in unfamiliar situations, he warms up quickly with a little patience. During his evaluation, he showed hesitation at first touch but relaxed by the second stroke, happily engaging and staying close. He’s not toy-motivated, but attention motivated. Choopy has also shown friendly interest in other dogs. He did well with calm, low-energy dogs like Molly, and was more playful and lively with dogs like Inara, running and playing freely once he felt comfortable. When introduced to Toffee, Choopy used appropriate body language and approached from the side, showing good social manners. He’s also been curious but not reactive toward cats, though more testing is needed to know if he`d be a good feline roommate.This sweet boy would thrive in a structured, low-key home that understands sensitive dogs and can offer calm guidance. Chaos or loud environments would likely be too much for him — but in the right setting, Choopy will flourish.
