Skittles - Chihuahua/Dachshund - Male - 1.5 yrs - www.twyla.org If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org Meet Skittles: This gorgeous little neutered male Chihuahua Mix is cuddly and sweet and loves to be held. He came to us as a stray and has quickly adjusted to life at his fosters home. He gets along well with the other dogs in the house, although somedays he wants to play more than they are in the mood for and is getting better at respecting their wishes. He handles rejection pretty well, his "how about now" game is pretty strong, so the rest doesn't usually last long, until  foster mom either walks with him, plays with him or sticks him in the baby sling (Yes, Baby slink) and takes him with her. He LOVES being in the sling and being carried. He walks pretty well on leash and is moderately vocal when someone is a the door, but he does not like being alone for long and can be pretty vocal at those times, so we would not recommend him for an apartment type situation. He loves being a Lapdog, will jump in your lap every chance he gets. He likes to burrow into blankets and prances in sweaters and shirts. He is getting better at house training, and is wearing belly bands without complaints until he gets a better handle on that. Skittles is looking for a home with another dog for him to play with, he likes kids but will slip out unattended front door, so older kids are preferred to keep him safe. He is not a fan of benig along, so someone home a lot would be best. ***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***
