Personality: Loyal, easygoing, patient, adaptable, quiet, calm, goofy, and gentle. Greetings, humans! I am Axel, your future best friend and professional nap enthusiast. When I'm not busy being the king of chill, I love to sit with you all day and get an infinite amount of scratches. I can be sitting upright, upside down, or whatever goofy position, but when I want your affection I'll let you know with a gentle boop to your hand or squeeze myself right in next to you for some cuddles. Early mornings? No thanks — I’m happy to stay snuggled in my crate with a toy or seven, showing off my house training prowess. When you’re ready to take me on a walk, I transform into a detective, investigating every mysterious scent and befriending every human in my path. I am house trained and crate trained, making having me around a breeze. In addition to being charming and easygoing, I'm a smarty-pants who already knows the words "sit," "stay," and "no." I'm a perfect apartment dog, and would do best as the only dog in your home so I can get all of your love and cuddles! Does your couch have a comfy spot for a goofy, lovable companion? Apply today to meet me, Axel! ___________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Axel, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
