My story

Poor Elliott has some really bloodshot eyes. Maybe from intake stress or maybe trauma from before as a stray. He has been pretty scared until now. Elliott is just a baby. He doesn’t know what to do with his nervous energy so he bounces around. He knows sit and is fine with our handling. Elliott is really smart and he is picking up new skills everyday. He loves treats which is always helpful during training. This young boy just needs a chance to shine. First step is finding him a great home. Came in as a stray on 11/29/24. Found near 6900 S Crandon, Chicago *Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL *The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID. *All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs. *Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
