My story

Meet Schroeder! This poor little guy came from a very rough place when we found him on the euthanasia list at a local high kill shelter. He was completely covered in painful matts and wouldn’t let anyone touch him. He don’t know his whole story, but we do know that he takes time to earn your trust. Schroeder gets along with other dogs and would love a home that will be patient with him. He has boundaries and often times does not want to be touched. After lots of hard work from our shelter staff, he does accept head scratches from them though! He has been through so much and just needs a family to let him adjust at his own speed. We think a home with older kids would be best as he is sometimes hard to read and likes his space.
