My story

Nathaniel is a gentle and thoughtful two-year-old Terrier/APBT mix, weighing 47 pounds. With his keen nose and curious nature, he may have some scent hound in his lineage, making him an explorer at heart. Nathaniel loves using his nose to discover the world and would likely excel in scent work or treat puzzles that engage his natural instincts. Shelter life has been overwhelming for Nathaniel, and he’s understandably nervous in this environment. He walks cautiously on a leash, alert to his surroundings and startled by unexpected noises. However, with time and patience, Nathaniel reveals his loving and attentive personality to those who earn his trust. He enjoys gentle petting and politely accepts treats, forming a special bond with those in his inner circle. Nathaniel would thrive with a calm, understanding adopter who can provide him with slow, steady introductions and a safe, quiet space to decompress. His ideal home would embrace his sensitive nature and nurture his confidence. Nathaniel’s adoption fee of $225 includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital.
