My story

Beautiful and petite Bean comes to us all the way from Puerto Rico, where she was roaming the streets as one of approximately 500,000 stray dogs on the island. These dogs are known as "Satos" and are typically medium sized and shades of brown! Bean arrived to us last December, and was adopted but recently returned due to it not being a good fit. Bean is initially shy, but it does not take long for her to feel comfortable enough to share snuggles and kisses. She was understandable very confused to be brought back to the shelter, but over a couple of days she has blossomed-- she walks on a leash, she has a kennel roomie whom she loves, she enjoys playgroups, and calm cuddle sessions with volunteers. Bean's personality really shines when she's with other dogs - they help her come out of her shell! We see a big difference in her when she has another dog around, so we really think she will need to be adopted into a home with another dog for her really to be her best self. She has made big strides already and we know there is more to come! Bean recently moved into a foster home and we will update you soon on her progress! Bean’s adoption fee is $375. She is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
