My story

Beautiful and petite Bean comes to us all the way from Puerto Rico, where she was roaming the streets as one of approximately 500,000 stray dogs on the island. These dogs are known as "Satos" and are typically medium sized and shades of brown! Bean arrived to us last December, and was adopted but recently returned due to it not being a good fit. Bean is initially shy, but it does not take long for her to feel comfortable enough to share snuggles and kisses. She was understandable very confused to be brought back to the shelter, but over a couple of days she has blossomed-- she walks on a leash, she has a kennel roomie whom she loves, she enjoys playgroups, and calm cuddle sessions with volunteers. She has made big strides already and we know there is more to come! We are excited to see her personality shine, but of course would rather see her back in a home. Please ask about her today! Bean’s adoption fee is $250. She is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
