My story

Nellie is a stunning, active brindle beauty with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This 75-pound sweetheart is always ready to go, whether it’s a long hike, a game of fetch, or some puzzle toy brain games to keep her sharp. She thrives with routine, structure, and plenty of exercise to help channel her energy in healthy ways. Nellie is an anxious girl at heart, and she's looking for a home where she can feel safe, secure, and loved as the only pet. While she may be open to sharing her space with dog-savvy, sturdy kids, she'd do best in a home that understands her excitement can sometimes come out as jumpy and mouthy behavior — nothing a consistent routine and a little mental stimulation can’t help manage! She’s a work in progress, but with the right environment, Nellie will blossom into the loyal, affectionate, goofy companion she’s meant to be. Nellie is now a Lonely Heart which means she's been with us far too long. To encourage her new family to take the leap and bring her home we have lowered her adoption fee to $200.
