My story

Holly came to us through an Animal Control Officer who had picked her up as a stray, so we don`t know anything about her prior life, but we`ve learned a whole bunch about this sweet girl while she`s been with us!This chonky little short-stack is a strong puller, so she`s learned how to walk nicely on a front-clip harness. She is food motivated, and though she has a short attention span to match her short legs, she`s still making great progress in her training, and is always eager to please. She spent a weekend with a foster, and did REALLY well enjoying life in a home. She loved their 2-yr-old, and did well moving around him, but is probably better suited to age 4 and up, mostly because she sometimes moves fast and wiggly, and comes in quickly for licks and kisses. She did well on neighborhood walks, and when she heard dogs barking from inside their homes, she alerted to it, but was easily redirected to continue on her walk. She has been reactive toward the other dogs here at CVHS, so she will probably do best as the only pet in the home. We do not know how she feels about cats, but on a recent walk, she was VERY interested in a spot where a neighborhood cat hangs out, so it could be an issue for her. She loved playing in the foster`s fenced-in yard, and she does the same with us, so that would be a huge bonus for her new home. Holly LOVES a good snuggle session, and would be happy to join you on your couch for a good book or some binge tv.A consultation with our Behavior Specialist is included in Holly`s $350.00 adoption fee.
