My story

Our sweet Prairie had a very inauspicious start in life to put it mildly. It s unfathomable how this little fur angel ended up in a dumpster like yesterday's trash But in her little pint size body beat the heart of a lion. Thankfully she made it into rescue in the nick of time and with the help of a good samaritan, medical intervention, TLC and Prairie's sheer steal will she is now thriving! Even at lowest of lows she found a way to tenderly kiss the hand that fed or watered her. Once on the road to recovery she has not looked back. She is both interactive and playful and laps up all the attention she can get. She is a medium sized mixes breed with long legs and beautiful face. She has been fully vetted and given a clean bill of health. She has been altered and all shots are current up to what her age will allow. Besides being a beauty she will steal your heart. Prairie has paid her dues and then some; she now deserves to enjoy the love of kind owner! Please consider making our Prairie your very own. Thank you for considering adopting a rescue. For every dog adopted a space is opened for another needy dog to get the care they deserve too. Prairie's adoption fee is $275 This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also allow us the ability to put funds towards the next homeless or unwanted dog in need of rescue! Please understand that sometimes we get numerous applications for specific dogs and as a volunteer-based rescue, we do not always have the time to respond to each one. We do our best to choose the most suitable home for each dog based on their specific personality and needs. Please note you MAY NOT be contacted for up to 10 days to schedule a meet and greet if your family is the most suitable for this rescue dog. Regrettably, we do not have the manpower currently to contact all applicants. We keep ALL applications in our database so please feel free to contact us when you see another dog of interest. We appreciate all applicants and do our best to pair every dog and family for a successful and happy life.
