My story

Just look at those ears! Meet Piper, a Shepherd born approx 7/6/22. Piper is a soft and snuggly boy who is looking for a forever family to love. He is a sensitive soul and loyal companion. Little is known about his history except that he traveled from Afghanistan to get here, so he is still getting used to new sights and sounds. Piper is eager to please and loves to learn, especially if kibble is involved. He is alert and his bark is loud, but he is learning that his people will look out for him and he can relax. He can be mouthy when playing or startled, so does best around people who are calm and can redirect as needed. Piper has enjoyed having a foster sister to play with at home and tends to be submissive. He’d enjoy having a dog friend or two in his new home but also enjoys time to just chill or love on his people. He would love to sleep stretched out on a bed or couch but is comfortable in his crate too. He can be left loose when home alone and has not had any issues. Piper loves walks and belly rubs. He does well when getting a nail trim or being brushed. What doesn’t he like? Car rides. How does he let you know? Instant drooling. But if he gets to tag along on an adventure, he’s all in!
