My story

Meet Bones, the pint sized (at 42lbs) lovable snuggler with a heart of gold! Whether you’re reading a book, cooking in the kitchen, or just relaxing at home, Bones is always by your side—ready to be your loyal companion. He’s an expert sous chef who’s happy to assist in any food prep (especially if it involves treats), and when it comes to fashion, he’s most likely to win the "Best Dressed" award, effortlessly rocking a cozy sweater. Bones is crate trained and house trained, making him an easygoing homebody who enjoys the quieter side of life. He’s perfectly content lounging with his people or taking peaceful walks to show off his good leash skills. While he loves his family and welcomes guests with a wagging tail, Bones tends to keep a low profile when out in the neighborhood, preferring to keep his distance from strangers. Though he’s curious about other dogs, Bones is still figuring out the best way to make doggy friends. But rest assured, he’s always entertaining his people—his foster mom says, “He is a RIOT! The funniest dog we've had. He's truly a delight!” If you're looking for a snuggly, charming, and slightly quirky companion, Bones might just be your perfect match! Out of area adopters (outside of DC, MD, VA and PA) will be considered on a case by case basis and will be required to come to the foster location for an in-person meet-and-greet.
