You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This cute gal is Addison, not only is she sweet and loving, but she is also the pyrfect pocket pyr! Although Miss Addison is a head shorter than her pyr-mates, this lovely girl does not lag behind when it comes to playing or chilling with her favorite people. Since coming into rescue, Addison has demonstrated excellent manners, and she’d love to keep learning and refining all the skills she already has. She is crate trained, walks well on leash, doesn’t dig, and barks much less than the average pyr. She is particularly eager to learn new tricks so she and her training partner(s) can bond; showing off to other family members is, of course, a much desired bonus as well. She adores attention, and you will love petting her super soft head! This mature girl is wise beyond her years, she always seems to know the pyrfect thing to do when meeting new people - itty bitty toddlers? - Gentle kisses and nose boops. Fragile senior citizens? - A soft rub against them and gently put her chin on their knees. Adults who are up for some fun activities? - Let's play with toys and run around the backyard! Miss Addison will do well in an active home where she can channel her energy, and with humans that will keep her mentally and physically challenged. She’d love a secure 4’ fenced-in yard to sprint around in, and a male canine companion could be fun! We are pawsitive that this pocket rocket will love you to the moon and back, and then some more! Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are:â€ڑ) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. We may consider fostering for some of our dogs who are in boarding. Please visit Fostering FAQ for an application and information about our fostering program.

If you can't foster or adopt at this time, please consider helping our
Neediest Cases or making a tax-exempt donation by visiting our Donate page. More Information: Questions? The fastest way to learn more about a dog is to fill out
