My story

Willow von Waldeck is a stunning, 2-year-old German Shepherd. She's a classic-looking beauty who runs into your arms and joyfully hugs you. She'll shower you with kisses and soon become your shadow. Coming in at a medium-energy level, it's obvious that she loves her people. If you have some treats, Willow will proudly show you the list of commands she already has mastered. And, she is housebroken. At walk time, she starts out happy and offers great leash manners as she easily glides into heel position. Her goal is always to stay as close to you as possible, and she also loves meeting new people along the way. She does well around other dogs at the rescue, but is more into people. Willow is ready to find her own forever home, which should not include small dogs or kitties. Rescued from the SEACCA animal shelter. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN Willow von Waldeck YOU MUST FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE: www.sheprescue.org Application link: http://www.sheprescue.org/Application_to_Adopt_a_Dog%20Main.html Based on our experience, Westside's current thinking is to usually match first-time shepherd owners with a mix versus a purebred shepherd. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Willow von Waldeck, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
