Star LordFor those of you who are big fans of the Guardians of the Galaxy, I am named for the superhero Peter Quill. I`m not sure I`m a heroic cat, but I am a handsome, sociable, sweetheart of a cat, to quote my foster mom (FM). I was found as a stray kitten and lived with my owner all my life. We moved into four different homes during my time with the family. Two children, a dog and a cat, also entered the picture. I lived peacefully with the 9-year-old altered male cat and stayed away from the 4-year-old golden retriever. I also avoided the 3- and 1-year-old kids. The movements and noise of the kids and the dog caused me stress, contributing to my litterbox issues. My owner surrendered me to HSHC on December 13. The medical exam indicated I had tummy troubles due to Pancreatitis. It took me a while to recover from an upper respiratory infection, ear mites, and being treated for Pancreatitis. I moved into a foster home on March 9 to give me a break from the shelter. I am proud to say that at 10 years of age, I currently use the litterbox like a champ! I like the fact that my FM keeps the box clean. Personality? You betcha! I`m cautious initially, but I warm up to people within 10-15 minutes. I am not interested in playing with the cats in my foster home, so I just stay away from them. I adore chasing ribbons or any toy that moves. When I feel particularly friendly, I become a lap cat, and I love to sleep with the daughter at night. I always purr the second that you touch me. Oh, and I crave head scratches. I enjoy splitting my time between being out with the family and chilling in my safe room (the room with my litterbox, food, etc.) Due to my Pancreatitis, I have to eat specific foods; I don`t care for canned food, just dry. According to my FM, I am the sweetest little boy once I am comfortable with you. Despite the changes in my life, I`ve shown adaptability and a loving nature. How would you like a superhero kitty coming to live with you? 4-22-25
