Chunky is very polite, mindful, demur, and cute. He enjoys long walks, belly rubs, and giving out hugs to his humans. Chunky has had a rough start in life loosing his only owner after being incarcerated and living his days in a small metal cage outside without anyone to love. Chunky is extremely gentle, loving, and easy going. He has a very laid back personality and is up for just about anything,from relaxing at home on the couch to taking a nice walk around the neighborhood. He was quite shy and reserved when he first arrived but his goofy sweet personality is starting to show more and more each day. He would benefit from someone who will be patient and allow him some time to warm up. He can be frightened at first by new environments and by sudden quick movements. Loud noises can make him nervouswhich might make him a better fit for an adopter without small children. He is house broken and crete trained. He has become fast friends with our resident dog, they are able to share toys and bed. He has only exhibited the sweetest behavior with our dog and often provides him with kisses and love. Running around in the back year together with the zoomies has become a favorite activity. While he's also happy with just hanging in the same room as his dogs friend relaxing and watching TV. He walks great on the least and hardly pulls unless very excited. Although he has exhibited behaviors ofleash reactivity with other dogs on our walks around the neighborhood. We are currently working on our manners with this and actively training. Chunky will benefit from an adopter who is willing to continue to work on this training and be patient with chunky.
