My story

Pepper von Pirna is a beautiful, 12-month-old German Shepherd. This gentle soul with a soft coat may initially appear shy. However, she warms up with kind words and gentle petting. Then she enjoys a good butt rub and loves to play with toys. Pepper walks well on leash. With moderate energy levels, she's happy to go for walks, enjoying the opportunity to stop and sniff along the way. We think she would enjoy another dog in the home as she is comfortable around other dogs and enjoys their company. In playgroups, she's initially calm and mingles nicely, showcasing her friendly and social nature. And, she passed her initial cat testing. This sweet girl is looking for a patient and loving home where she can blossom into a cherished companion. Rescued from the Palmdale animal shelter. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
