Ernie

My story

Hello! My name is Ernie and I am looking for a furever person or couple who understands me and that until I came to my foster mom’s house I had never lived in a home before. Where I came from there were many, many dogs around- I can’t count so I have to take the human’s word that it was close to 60 other pups. When the people who rescued me found me I had been living in a shed. So I am still working hard at learning all sorts of new homelife a social skills and am a work in progress. The nice rescue people don’t know how much socialization I had before I came to them, but I can be fearful of new people, so a quiet home with no kids would be PERFECT! And speaking of perfect, while people are scary to me, other dogs and cats are great! So another dog to show me the ropes I love to chew on bully sticks, play with toys and run a round the yard. A fenced in yard is also a must, as I get a little too overwhelmed at the idea of walks and STILL won’t let my foster mom put a harness on me. I will need someone to help me look my best by getting me groomed! With a lot of love and patience, I will warm up to you and want to get as many CUDDLES as possible!
