Meet Hugs – A Gentle Soul in Search of His Safe Place DOB: 11/23/23 Hugs isn’t your typical “run-up-and-lick-your-face” kind of dog — and that’s what makes him so special. This stunning boy is more than just a pretty face (though wow, does he photograph like a supermodel). Hugs is a tender-hearted soul navigating a world that sometimes feels a little too loud, too fast, and too overwhelming. He’s shy — not broken. Cautious — not closed off. What he needs is patience and a person who understands that building trust takes time. But once you earn it? Hugs will melt into your hands, lean in for soft pets, and gaze up at you with quiet adoration. He doesn’t ask for much — just a little kindness, a calm voice, and someone who sees the beauty in moving slowly. What makes Hugs extra special: - Gentle and sensitive — the kind of dog who bonds deeply, once he feels safe - Ridiculously photogenic — his face belongs on a magazine cover - Gets along great with other respectful dogs - Smart, thoughtful, and eager to please (once he knows you’re one of the good ones) - And yes — he’s got one less toe than the average dog. A puppyhood injury took it, but we like to think it just makes him more aerodynamic. Because of his size and his sensitive nature, Hugs would do best in a calm, quiet home without young kids (12+ is okay), and probably no cats. He thrives in a peaceful environment where people respect his pace and love him gently.
