My story

Petey's Available For Adoption! This very handsome. well-mannered, friendly pup is Petey. He's approx 3 yrs old & 60 lbs. Petey loves everyone! He makes fast friends wherever he goes. He's great with dogs of all sizes & he adores people. We haven't gotten his opinion on cats yet.🤔 Petey's Story: A good samaritan called us for help when she saw him in her driveway. He wasn't injured, but he seemed unsure of where to go. He walked a little ways down the street, but always came back to the end of her driveway as if he were waiting on someone. It was obvious that this sweet dog had been abandoned there at that spot. While the good samaritan was waiting for us to pick him up, she witnessed someone driving too fast almost hit him. After that, she saw another driver throw garbage at him as they drove by. She offered her new guest some food, water & reassurance that help was on the way. He expressed his gratitude with a kiss to her hand & then he immediately rolled over for a belly rub. How ANY human being can discard or mistreat a dog is incomprehensible. Petey was taken directly to our vet for an exam. He tested hw+ & he was underweight, but healthy enough to be vaccinated & neutered. While being boarded a few days at the vet hospital so we could search for a foster, he quickly stole the hearts of the kennel staff. They reported that he was charming, cooperative, & potty trained. Petey was placed in foster care & treated for heartworms. He has a clean bill of health & he's more than ready to find a forever family all his own!🤗❤️ If you want a super sweet companion who will always be there for you, please consider meeting Pete.
