My story

RICKY UPDATE!!&#226&#156&#168 Sweet Ricky has settled into foster care and is doing well. The last of his burns have healed. Ricky is a special boy that has been through so much. Sadly, he is scarred physically and emotionally from all he’s been through. He likely will always have his physical scars but we are hoping we can find the perfect forever home that can help heal the emotional ones. Ricky needs a special family that understands the trauma he has faced and has the patience to help him overcome his fears. This boy is not aggressive in anyway but very timid of humans and likes to spend most of his day in his kennel that’s always open. He’s slowly but surely starting to come out more and venture around and willingly allow pets without shying away but it’s going to take time to help this boy fully heal! Ricky has so much love to give and we know there is a family out there that has it to give back. Ricky is a Lab/Bully mix. He’s 1-2 years old and around 40 lbs. He is great with other dogs, keeps a clean kennel, does great in the house and has ZERO aggression issues. He’s utd, hw tested and neutered! Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications!
