Jimbo is a happy young guy who is housebroken, crate-trained, leash-trained, and knows “sit.” He is a Pyr mix who loves to go for rides in the car and doesn’t mind having his impressive coat brushed. He enjoys a good romp with his foster canine sister and likes meeting other friendly dogs. This super sweet boy loves attention, so bring on the ear rubs! He’s not fond of bicycles or people on bicycles, or loud noises. He’s a very sweet boy who was found as a stray and appears to be gaining some much-needed weight now that he is living the indoor life. When he goes into the yard, he runs and jumps with joy and loves to carry around his toys. He sleeps on his back, and snores and wags his tail as he slumbers! An ideal home for Jimbo would be quiet and have a solid routine, which he likes. It should also include a 4-foot fence, maybe a dog for him to play with, and a family who can pay him the attention he so deserves! - Written by M.M. NYS Registered Non-Profit Rescue # RR102. National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) has been rescuing and adopting out Great Pyrenees since 2006. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are:â€ڑ) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. We may consider fostering for some of our dogs who are in boarding. Please visit Fostering FAQ for an application and information about our fostering program.
