Meet Ernie: The Independent Soul with a Gentle Heart. Ernie is a two-year-old cream Chow who dances to the beat of his own drum. True to his Chow nature, he’s slow to warm up but has a loving side once he trusts you. While he’s made significant progress from his shy beginnings, he’s still a bit skittish and prefers to take life at his own pace. Ernie listens well, does fine on walks, and enjoys calm, quiet companionship. Crowds aren’t his thing, and he’s happiest in a low-key, one-woman household where he can truly bond with his person. No men or cats, please. This gentle boy might start off reserved, but with patience and understanding, Ernie’s affectionate nature will win your heart. Ernie is looking for a forever home that appreciates his independent spirit and gives him the safe, peaceful, loving environment he needs to thrive. **Ernie is located in Austin, TX.
