My story

Meet Fudge - This sweet 4 year-old male Weimaraner is a mix and we believe 90% Weim and 10% labor beagleor terrier.or spunk! This little long-tailed lovie was picked up as a stray in Ohio. He was a mess - neglected, malnourished and very thin, and flea-ridden with lots of sores on his poor body. Thankfully the Warden called GLWR as he knew the rescue would step up and give this young boy a chance at a much better life. Long-time foster Family Steph & Neil Grantz also couldnt say no and wanted to nurse this 4 year old doggie to good health and agreed to foster him. On day one they gave him the adorable name of Fudge because he was just SOOO SWEET! Fast forward two months and the improvement and progress is remarkable. Healed & healthy; Fudge is now ready to be adopted into his forever home. Fudge loves life and his foster family and everyone hes met on his journey, even the vet! Fudge KNOWS he has been rescued! He is like a brand new dog now! We cant believe that through it all, he has been so loving and so trusting! Fudge is good with other dogs as long as they like to play! He wants to horse around and engage with his foster brothers - but theyre on the older side so hes not getting as much mat time as hed like! He LOVES his toys and needs tough ones that last! We believe Fudge would be best as the only dog in the home - but he will need to have play time & definitely exercise on a daily basis. Fudge loves attention and affection and is a real snuggle bug. Hes hooked on sports and action movies. Fudge is an escape artist & can to squeeze through small spaces and is a jumper - so a 6 foot fence or solid tie out will be a must. Fudge could be classed as a professional counter surfer - HE will do anything to get bread & cheese! He has no anxiety in a crate and is happy to be there safe and sound because he is a chewer!
