My story

At 6 years old, Layla is a quiet beauty with a story to tell. Rescued from the snow-covered grounds of a Bronx garden in early 2025, this sweet girl has shown incredible strength and grace in her journey to healing. Layla has slowly begun to trust and show her loving, cuddly side, especially at night when she feels safe and close to her person. Layla values peace and security, and would do best in a calm, quiet home where she can continue to come out of her shell at her own pace. Loud noises can still scare her, so a predictable environment will help her feel safe. Layla is mature, independent, and prefers the simple comfort of human companionship. With patience and love, she is sure to blossom into the deeply affectionate companion she’s beginning to be.
