KNOWN WITH DOGS: Otto has hung out calmly with other dogs in playgroup and likes chasing and some wrestling. KNOWN WITH CATS: We do not currently know how Otto is with cats. If that is needed, let us know and we'll work on getting that information! KNOWN WITH KIDS: Otto would prefer a home with older children or adults. KNOWN COMMANDS: Otto took some training classes in a previous home and would be happy to show off his Sit. KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING &/OR CRATING: Otto doesn't particularly like going into his crate. KNOWN LIKES: Attention, treats, walks, activity, the opportunity to use his brain, like puzzle toys and sniff walks. KNOWN DISLIKES: Going into his crate, being removed from furniture and other fun and valuable places. ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Otto originally came from one of our rural shelter partners where he was found as a stray. He enjoys hanging out with other dogs, and he is a very smart and driven boy who would love the opportunity to keep his busy brain occupied in a home environment. He loves sniffing on walks and is a connoisseur of puzzle and treat toys. Otto would prefer a family with older children or adults. He can be possessive of his space and will need a family who can help him learn boundaries and continue his training about where he is and isn't allowed to hang out. In return, he will reward you with cuddles and kisses, and a whole lot of adorable puppy antics. His previous family noted that he walks nicely on leash, he never met a human he didn't like, and that he is the most loving - and lovable - dog. Otto was neutered during his stay at Homeward Trails.
