My story

Meet Saucer: Saucer is a 11-month-old hound puppy with a gentle soul and a shy, sensitive heart. Saucer is still learning about the world and needs a calm, patient home where he can take things at his own pace. He’s extremely shy around new people and environments, and while he’s making small steps of progress, he’ll need continued support to build confidence and feel safe. At this young age, Saucer is still working on leash training and will benefit from someone who can go slow, use positive reinforcement, and celebrate the little wins. He tends to feel more secure around other calm, friendly dogs, and having a confident canine buddy in the home could help him come out of his shell. Because of his timid nature, we recommend Saucer go to a home with children 13 and older who can understand and respect his boundaries. He’s not the type to run up and shower you with kisses right away—but when he does start to trust you, his quiet affection is incredibly rewarding. He enjoys soft pets, gentle encouragement, and being near the people he trusts. If you're looking for a special pup to grow with—someone who may take time but will return your patience with deep loyalty and love—Saucer could be your perfect match. Give him the safe space he needs, and he’ll show you the beauty of earning a shy dog’s heart.
