My story

Ginger’s life didn’t start the way it should have. She was found on the side of a busy road—where at least three of her siblings didn’t make it. The world was cruel to them, but somehow, Ginger and her brother and sister, Sporty and Posh, survived. But survival isn’t the same as finding love. Ginger has always been shy, scared, and unsure of humans. Can you blame her? The world hasn’t been kind. But lately, something incredible has been happening—she’s finally learning to trust. She won’t run into your arms right away, but if you get down on her level, she will melt into your hand when you pet her face. With time, patience, and kindness, she is the sweetest companion and may even become a lap cat. She loves other cats, plays, chases, and explores. She adores treats (Churu is the key to her heart ❤️) and enjoys the company of her foster siblings. She needs a quiet, patient home—one that understands that trust isn’t given, it’s earned. Because Ginger is so shy, her foster chooses not to put her in stressful situations, which is why she is not at the catteries (e.g., PetSmart, Petco). However, if you are interested in meeting her, we can arrange a meet & greet at any of the stores so you can see for yourself just how special she is. 🐾 Great with other cats (but fine on her own, too!) 🐾 Best in a calm home, no small children 🐾 Loves treats, playing, and quiet companionship Black cats are often overlooked. Shy cats are often ignored. But Ginger has fought so hard to be here, and she deserves a home that will love her exactly as she is. Adoption fee for this cat includes FVRCP vaccine, FIV/FELV testing, spay/neuter surgery, deworming, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate) wellness vet visit, one month of pet insurance and microchip. All animals are examined by a veterinarian.
