My story

Petey is living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption application on our website to learn more about him and schedule a phone call or meet and greet with the foster. Petey is: Neutered: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized More about Petey: Housebroken: Yes, when on a consistent routine, going out every few hours Crate trained: Working on it! He can take 30-60 minutes to settle when home alone in his crate during the day, but has done well in his crate overnight with his people nearby. Leash walking: Petey is a strong boy who can tend to pull toward people and smells, out of excitement, so would benefit from working on loose leash walking skills! Dog social: Yes! Petey lived with a resident dog in his foster home and has been enjoying doggy playgroups at our Adoption Center. Cat social: Yes! Petey has done well living with cats after a slow, proper introduction. Kid friendly: Unknown, but he'd do better with older kids as he is an excitable adolescent who can be mouthy and jumpy when overstimulated Petey likes: - Toys! Squeaker balls, rope toys, puzzles....all the toys! - Getting belly rubs - Catching up on naps between play sessions Petey spends about 50% of his day lying belly up, asking for belly rubs. He is definitely not here for the thrills or finer things like a fancy dog bed or cozy blankets. He's a sensible guy who prefers a nice spot on the floor or curled up on the rug by the door keeping an eye out. He will snuggle for a few minutes and then head to his preferred spot to rest. The other half of his day he's full of energy, looking for toys to play with and various shoes to steal and carry around for a bit. He is a fun and active kid who would love an equally active adopter to keep up with him and take him on adventures! Petey's adoption fee is $300, and he is ready to add some excitement to your life!
