My story

True “dog people” sometimes have funny ways of describing dogs that others might think are a little bit strange, but if you get it, you get it! One of our shelter volunteers and advocates describes her favorite dogs as “delicious.” You can imagine this would be a pup you just want to smooch and cuddle and love furever. We can’t imagine a better boy to describe as “delicious,” than our very good boy Howell! Here’s what one volunteer said:“Howell is an INCREDIBLY gentle, sweet and calm boy! He was very easy to leash up in his kennel and walk over the play yard. Once in the yard he was a little nervous, but when I sat down on a bench, he came up behind me and snuggled his nose right under my arm, eventually standing up on the bench next to me so that he could cover me with the sweetest kisses! He is a very affectionate boy. He is also super smart and funny! He is such a love and would follow me around the yard, rubbing up against me and kissing me! This boy is a true gem and will thrive in an understanding home with someone who will give him time to warm up and help him know he’s safe!”Howell shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been social and tolerant when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any potential furry roommates before heading home to ensure a good fit.
