Meet Melanie, a delightful 1-year-old black lab with a heart full of love. This affectionate pup thrives on companionship and enjoys being near her humans. While she loves playing with other dogs, nothing makes her happier than a good chin scratch. With some time to adjust, she'll exhibit medium to high energy and will curl up next to you for sweet cuddle sessions. She’s the perfect addition to an active family that enjoys walks; with a little encouragement, she'll happily walk by your side. Initially, when she arrives at her new home, Melanie might feel anxious and unsettled. It’s common for her to try to escape and potentially be a bit destructive as she navigates this transition. She does have separation anxiety, but rest assured, as she becomes comfortable, she will relax and thrive. For her best happiness, a home with a yard is ideal, and having another dog around can greatly help her adjust. While she will require dedication and patience at first, Melanie will emerge as a loyal companion, showering you with love and joy once she knows she belongs.
