Bob the builder loves to play fetch and he is such a catch. You have treats? He will be your best friend. per volunteer 4/13: Bob the Builder likes to go on walks and keep moving. When I stopped to give him pets, he quickly found my treat bag. I had him sit and then gave him a treat. He was a little jumpy at times and he started leash biting. Initially it was minor and I could easily redirect him with a treat and continuing to walk. He did this again I think when he saw another dog. In the front parking lot, right after we walked by some people, he started biting the leash and jumping around with it in his mouth and pulling with it in his mouth. He had knocked my treat pouch off me at the very beginning of this. Even though there were treats on the ground, he didn’t notice them and kept with the leash. He didn’t listen to any verbal commands. I picked the treats up and my pouch and then when I put the treats up to him where he could smell them, he let go off the leash. I’m not sure what exactly caused his leash biting but he’d get highly aroused and start biting it, often with jumping up (not usually on me) and pulling. We didn’t meet any dogs but it could have been seeing them a bit away. In the front parking lot, it may have been seeing a few people standing there and talking; we didn’t stop so I’m not sure. He didn’t go out yesterday per his walk sheet so that may have contributed to his higher energy. 04/09/2025 staff notes, playgroup: Good gate greetings, immediate confident greetings to both females in the yard, playful, gave play bows and was primarily loose and wiggly throughout. Did eventually become more seemingly SM as time progressed, and had to be removed from yard for further evaluations of potential fearful dogs all of which were female. Notes from Previous Shelter stay Behavior notes: 01/30/2025 day trip notes: Bob is such a happy boy! He was so excited to go on his adventure. He might need some dog stairs into the car because I had to pick him up but he can get down great. He pulled at first but after 10 mins he walked great! He does pull a little when bikes went by. He’s really a nice dog, takes treats gently, and is friendly with people. 01/28/2025 staff notes: KENNEL PRESENTATION: Bob the builder was laying on his bed and came up when he saw the handler with a wagging tail and soft eyes.
