Meet Sugar, spayed female, 9yrs old, 35lbs!Crate trainedPotty trainedKnows sitTakes treats gentlyLoves peopleDog tolerantSugar is made of sweetness, she is an adorable senior who loves to getpets, give kisses and take naps, she also loves her Kong and stuffies!Sugar was an owner surrender, with 2 other male dogs due to housing.It was noted that she is tolerant of other dogs and we would agreethrough observation with our dog, but she warmed up to him quickly.They both respect each other’s space and co-exist very well together,but do not show any interest in playing together.Sugar underwent heartworm therapy on 2/13/25. She is now clear to beactive and we are enjoying taking her on walks and seeing her playmore with toys!She has a strong bark that will make you feel safe with a stranger,but she quickly warms up to people, so don’t count on her protectingyou.Sugar would do best as the only dog in the household or with dogs thatwill respect her space. I think a quiet home would suit her best, butshe would likely also enjoy a household with older children 8+.
